With the theme “Leveraging Technology for a Better Tomorrow,” Premier University recently celebrated International IEEE Day 2025 in a festive and vibrant manner. On this occasion, the IEEE Premier University Student Branch organized a day-long colorful program that brought together the spirit of technology, innovation, and collaboration.

The celebration began with the “Raise Your Flag” segment, where the official IEEE Day 2025 flag was ceremoniously hoisted. The flag featured the logos of the IEEE Premier University Student Branch, Women in Engineering (WIE) Affinity Group, Computer Society, Robotics and Automation Society, and Power and Energy Society chapters.

Among those present were Mr. Mohammad Iftekhar Monir, Registrar of Premier University; Mr. Tuton Chandra Mallik and Syed Md. Minhaj Hossain, esteemed IEEE Advisors; and Mr. Mohammad Saifuddin Muna, Counselor.

In their remarks, the guests praised the students’ innovative thinking, teamwork, and technology-driven initiatives. They noted that IEEE’s activities are inspiring students to use technology in solving real-world problems, thereby playing a vital role in developing future leaders.

The second phase of the program featured a cake-cutting ceremony, joined by faculty members, former executive members, and current IEEE Student Branch members. In an atmosphere of excitement and unity, all participants expressed their commitment to further strengthening the bond of collaboration within the IEEE family.

One of the highlights of the day was an inspiring session titled “Life Cycle of a Tech Product Journey — Idea to Execution,” conducted by Anik Barua, former Chair of the IEEE Premier University Student Branch. He discussed the complete process of transforming a technology product from concept to realization, motivating students to pursue innovation and practical implementation.

According to representatives of the IEEE Premier University Student Branch, the main objective of celebrating IEEE Day was to enhance students’ technical skills, foster an innovative mindset, and promote leadership through teamwork.

At the end of the day, all participants pledged to uphold the commitment of the IEEE family—to utilize technology for the welfare of humanity and build a “Better Tomorrow.”
