Objectives of the Mathematics Program

In Chattogram region, opportunities for higher education in mathematics at university level are limited. So the Department of Mathematics at Premier University has developed broad-based programs dedicated to excellence in teaching, quality research at the forefront of technology, and professional development of students. Programs provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills to plan their careers in academia, government, semi-government and non-government organizations. The main objective of this Department is to provide practical exposure to the student along with theoretical knowledge so that they have the opportunity to translate their theoretical knowledge into real life situations. Studying mathematics at Premier University will enable students to apply their advanced knowledge of mathematics in engineering, physical science, life sciences, social sciences, business and other related fields.
